 IDENTIFYING WITH CHRIST

Decree: First ?Identity??then ?Destiny??

Last week we studied the Identification Revelation that we were ?CRUCIFIED? WITH CHRIST?

Now, let?s continue to look at our IDENTIFICATION WITH CHRIST.

 ?Jesus answered them, ?Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.? John.2:19 (KJV)

Jesus Christ has set the Pattern for the Third Day ?Seed principle?, which is expressed in death and NEW LIFE!

SOMETHING MUST DIE BEFORE IT CAN BE RESSURECTED INTO NEW LIFE!

John 12:24,25 ? THIS is the one price of Admission into the Third Day?only those whom Paul describes as ?dead in Christ? will truly access and live in the Third Day!

It?s only as we into His death, we can enter into His Resurrected Life!

Phil.3:10, 11

?BURIED? WITH CHRIST

Not only were you Crucified with Christ, but you were also BURIED WITH HIM.

When Jesus died, they took His body down from the cross and placed it in a borrowed tomb.

His body was in that tomb for three days and three nights. God sees your ?old man? buried with Jesus in that SAME tomb.

During that time, His spirit man and soul went to hell. (See Psalm 16:10, 68:18, 88:6, Acts 2:27, 31)

This was required in order for Jesus to pay the FULL penalty of sin for us.

This penalty is death to the body and death to the soul.

Death to the soul is separation from God in hell.

God sees your spirit and soul separated from Him in hell through Christ.

God sees us IN CHRIST each step of the way as He paid the penalty of sin for us.

We were there because we are IN HIM.

That?s why we don?t have to pay the penalty for sin ourselves.

JESUS has already paid it for us!

That?s why you don?t have to go to hell.

JESUS has already been there IN YOUR PLACE!

YOU MUST JUST DISCOVER YOUR POSITION AND IDENTITY IN CHRIST?.IT IS DONE!!!

?RAISED? WITH CHRIST

But Jesus? body didn?t stay in the tomb, and His soul and spirit didn?t stay in hell.

Because Jesus NEVER sinned, death and hell couldn?t hold Him (Acts 2:22-36)

So, after 3 days and 3 nights Jesus came forth from the dead in RESSURECTION POWER!

AndYOU too have come forth in Resurrection Power in your spirit because you were IN HIM.

2 Cor.5:17 (Amp) ? ?Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!?

We who were dead in our trespasses and sins were RAISED UP WITH CHRIST in our spirit-man to walk and live in NEWNESS of life, victorious over sin, Satan and the fear of death.

Gal. 2:20 (Amp.) ? ?I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.?

These are wonderful spiritual truths to know, but how do we ?apply? them to our lives on a daily basis?

We ?apply? them by simply ?REALIZING? they are true and living within that ?REALIZATION?.

Here?s how Paul said it to the Romans:

Romans 6:11-14 (NKJ) ? ¹¹Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.¹² Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. ¹³ And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. ¹⁴ For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

In verse 11, Paul used the word ?reckon??This means simply to regard or consider your IDENTIFICATION WITH CHRIST as truth and live accordingly.

Since your old Adam-like nature was crucified and buried with Christ, it no longer has power over your body.

Since Christ was raised from the dead, you too have been raised in your spirit-man.

You now have the ?GOD-KIND OF LIFE? in you!

The God-kind of life in you is more powerful than your ?old man?

Therefore, you don?t have to be a slave to sin. You don?t have to yield your body and its members to that ?old man?.

YOU HAVE BEEN FREED FROM ITS SINFUL HOLD ON YOU!

Now, you can freely yield your body to God. Your body can be an instrument of RIGHTEOUSNESS.

For example: You can now think with the mind of Christ. You can use your ears to hear the Word of God, use your eyes for love rather than lust, and your hands to do the work of the Lord, and your feet to carry this Good News to others?

Sin shall not have Dominion over you, but YOU SHALL HAVE DOMINION OVER SIN!

RESSURECTION ?THIRD DAY? LIFE is ?hidden? in the death of the ?flesh? life, the ?soul? life.
