JESUS ?SAT DOWN??

Hebrews 10:12, 14 (Amp.) ? ?Whereas this One [Christ], after He had offered a single sacrifice for our sins [that shall avail] for all time, sat down at the right hand of God, For by a single offering He has forever completely cleansed and perfected those who are consecrated and made holy.?

His finished work on the cross was offered as one sacrifice FOREVER, and when you received Jesus Christ into your life, you were PERFECTED FOREVER!

You have been perfected forever by Jesus? cleansing blood ? not by the blood of animal sacrifices which can never take away sins!

Notice that after Jesus offered His life as sacrifice and payment for all our sins, He ?sat down?!

He sat down at the Father?s right hand.

Under the old covenant, ?every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins?

But the Bible goes on to say that Jesus, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down.?

Jesus sat down to demonstrate to us that the work is indeed FINISHED!

Under the old covenant, the priest who served in the tabernacle of Moses never sat down, but ?stands ministering daily? because his work could never be finished.

The blood of bulls and goats could ?never take away sins?.

In the holy place of the tabernacle of Moses, there is not a single piece of furniture prepared for the priest to sit on?

You will not find a single chair in the holy place.

You will find the altar of incense, the menorah, and even a table of showbread, but interestingly, there are no chairs. This is because the work of the priest was never finished.

Only Jesus? work is a FINISHED work.

Jesus is on the throne of the universe. This means He has Rule and Authority and Power over sin, Satan and death.

JESUS ? THE ?HEAD? AND WE ?HIS BODY?

Ephesians 1:20 -23 (NKJV) - ?²⁰which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, ²¹ far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. ²² And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, ²³ which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.?

Paul said that Jesus is also the ?head? of the Church, which is His body.

Jesus is our King. We have been joined to Him in the Spirit.

1 Cor. 6:17 (Amp) ? ?¹⁷ But the person who is united to the Lord becomes one spirit with Him.?

Jesus is the ?Head? of a company of people who have been placed into spiritual union with Him. The Bible calls this Company of people THE CHURCH?

1 Cor.12:12, 14 (KJV). We are members of His Body, having an organic union with Him as our Head.

The same DNA that is in my head is in every other part of me. SO ALSO IS CHRIST?

Col. 1:18 (Amp) ? ?¹⁸ He also is the Head of [His] body, the church; seeing He is the Beginning, the Firstborn from among the dead, so that He alone in everything and in every respect might occupy the chief place [stand first and be preeminent]?.

Whatever is true of the Head, JESUS CHRIST, is true of US?HIS BODY?

Now wherever your head is, your body is also.

Since you are IN CHRIST and ?joined? to Him spiritually, wherever He is, YOU ARE!

?SEATED? WITH CHRIST

Not only did JESUS sit down at the father?s right hand, He made us SIT WITH HIM!

Ephesians 2:4-6 (Amp.) -  ?But God--so rich is He in His mercy! Because of and in order to satisfy the great and wonderful and intense love with which He loved us, Even when we were dead (slain) by [our own] shortcomings and trespasses, He made us alive together in fellowship and in union with Christ; [He gave us the very life of Christ Himself, the same new life with which He quickened Him, for] it is by grace (His favor and mercy which you did not deserve) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ's salvation).   And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One).?

?Sitting down? in the Bible is a picture of the believer resting in the Finished and completed work of Jesus.

Although physically we are still on planet earth, spiritually we sit with Christ in Heavenly places.

This position of being seated in Heavenly places?this ?view from the throne? (Rev. 3:21) allows us to have a Higher perspective.

From this ?RAISED UP? place, you can see the FINISHED WORK OF CHRIST... you can see the ?end from the beginning?? (Isa. 46:10, 11).

His Kingdom Authority and Power is ours.

Therefore we rule with Him with Kingdom Dominion over sin, Satan, hell and death.

This is what Jesus meant when He said,: ??the Kingdom of God is within you? ? Luke 17:21 (KJV).

Paul told the Philippian Church that they were a ?Colony? of heaven on planet earth. He had this revelation in mind when he wrote to the Colossians in Col. 3:1-4 (Amp.):

?If then you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, thus sharing His resurrection from the dead], aim at and seek the [rich, eternal treasures] that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. ² And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth.³ For [as far as this world is concerned] you have died, and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God.⁴ When Christ, Who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in [the splendor of His] glory.?

This is the Revelation: We now have an intimate relationship with God, based upon the ?Finished work? of Christ and understand that we are already perfected ?IN HIM??

NOW OUR FOCUS IS SIMPLY ON BEING ?IN HIM??IT IS DONE!!!!!

YOU NOW WALK, LIVE AND REIGN FROM THE ?FINISHED REALM? IN HEAVENLY PLACES!!!
