?The mystery of which was hidden for ages and generations [from angels and men], but is now revealed to His holy people (the saints), 27 To whom God was pleased to make known how great for the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ within and among you, the Hope of [realizing the] glory? - Colossians 1:26-27 AMP.
There is a mystery. The mystery has a glory. I want to know what the glory of the mystery is. It is one thing to know the mystery, but this mystery has something that goes with it, and it is glory.
The mystery is ?Christ in us?. The mystery has been hidden throughout the ages but is now revealed. But there is a glory of that mystery. It is not just glory. It is rich in glory.
The mystery is, Christ is now in us and it is so rich that it has a glory. In other words, the mystery that Christ is in us, is already a glory. There is so much glory in the fact that Christ is in us, but we must realize that the glory of the mystery (that Christ is in us) is only a hope of the real glory. That first glory in called: a down payment, the first fruits of the Spirit, an undercoat.
?Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love? - Ephesians 1:4 AMP.
FROM ONE GLORY TO ANOTHER:
?And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit? ? 2 Corinthians 3:18 AMP.
When I am born again, I accept Christ as my Lord and Saviour and He comes to dwell in me. This is a mystery and it has a glory, but if I can fathom what God really meant when He said that Christ is now in me and I can work on this glory, it will take me from glory to glory, because that first glory is just a hope.
In the end I will come to the real glory which is the ?fullness? of Christ formed in me.
?My little children, for whom I am again suffering birth pangs until Christ is completely and permanently formed (moulded) within you? - Galatians 4:19 AMP.
The first glory is Christ in me. The last glory is that Christ be ?formed? in me. Then I can say with Paul in Galatians 2:20 it is no longer I that live, but Christ lives in me.
That will ultimately bring us to Hebrews 6:1 that says: ?Let us go on to perfection?? and this glory is what creation is waiting for.
Christ in me is a mystery. That mystery has a glory. Work on that glory of the mystery and it will take you to another glory ? until you come to a place where Christ will be formed in you and people will look at you and not see you, but they will see Christ.
?[But what of that?] For I consider that the sufferings of this present time (this present life) are not worth being compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us and for us and conferred on us! 19 For [even the whole] creation (all nature) waits expectantly and longs earnestly for God?s sons to be made known [waits for the revealing, the disclosing of their sonship]? - Romans 8:18-19 AMP.
We have the mystery, that has a glory and that is that in Christ is in us. We therefore already have a part of that glory. The glory we have is of the mystery, but it is only a hope of the true glory. That true glory must be revealed?it is not yet revealed.
For just over 2000 years, people have had this hope in them, they?ve walked around with a hope and tried to get satisfied with so many other things instead of getting the revelation of a glory that is to be revealed ? to us, in us and to be conferred on us.
?For our light, momentary affliction (this slight distress of the passing hour) is ever more and more abundantly preparing and producing and achieving for us an everlasting weight of glory [beyond all measure, excessively surpassing all comparisons and all calculations, a vast and transcendent glory and blessedness never to cease!]? - 2 Corinthians 4:17 AMP.
There is a ?weight of glory? that is coming to us; if we do not look to the things that are happening to us but we look to the unseen things. The unseen is the glory that is yet to be revealed. That is why we have what the church calls ?the five-fold ministry?.
?Therefore it is said, When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive [He led a train of vanquished foes] and He bestowed gifts on men. 9 [But He ascended?] Now what can this, He ascended, mean but that He had previously descended from [the heights of] heaven into [the depths], the lower parts of the earth?10 He Who descended is the [very] same as He Who also has ascended high above all the heavens, that He [His presence] might fill all things (the whole universe, from the lowest to the highest).11 And His gifts were [varied; He Himself appointed and gave men to us] some to be apostles (special messengers), some prophets (inspired preachers and expounders), some evangelists (preachers of the Gospel, traveling missionaries), some pastors (shepherds of His flock) and teachers.12 His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ?s body (the church),13 [That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ?s own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him.14 So then, we may no longer be children, tossed [like ships] to and fro between chance gusts of teaching and wavering with every changing wind of doctrine, [the prey of] the cunning and cleverness of]unscrupulous men, [gamblers engaged] in every shifting form of trickery in inventing errors to mislead? - Ephesians 4:8-14 AMP.
The whole creation is waiting for that revelation to come to the front and that is the sons of the Most High God to be made manifest in the earth.
After Jesus was baptised, the heavens opened and God declared: ?This is My beloved Son?. Later when Jesus walked into the desert to be tempted, Satan did not tempt Him with bread or to jump off the temple. He tempted Jesus with: ?If you are the Son of God?? Satan tempted Jesus in His Sonship. When He came out of the desert and walked to the synagogue, demon-possessed people met Him and fell to the ground. They shouted: ?We know who You are. You are the Son of the Living God.? Then years later, Jesus stood in front of the disciples and asked them, ?Who do men say that I am?? The disciples answered, ?They say You are Elijah, some say John the Baptist.? Then he asked them, ?But who do you say I am?? Peter stood up and said, ?You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God.?
Therefore: The Son = The Christ = The Anointed One
Creation is waiting for the son?s to be revealed = for ?Christ?-ians to be revealed. The word ?Christ?-ian simply means ?to be like Christ?. Paul and Barnabas were called Christians, because they were the only 2 that were like Christ. People saw them and said, ?Hey look, there is Christ!? Then they realised that it was Paul / Barnabas and not Christ. Paul and Barnabas walked like Christ, talked like Christ, did the same miracles as Christ. Creation is waiting for that. That is why Paul prayed: ?I pray that Christ be formed in you?.
This is the glory that we only have hope for. Work on the one glory that it can take you to another glory which is that Christ be formed in you.
Imagine what will happen if you come forth in the life of Christ, if you start being Christ to the earth ? walking like Him, talking like Him, being like Him and according to John 14:12, start doing the works of Christ.
There is an eastern saying: ?There is a place that seems impossible to reach. But if you will go one step further, you will reach it. When you have reached it and come back to others, you become the speaker.
If you can get to that glory, everybody will listen. If we all get to that glory, the world will listen to us; the church.
?For those whom He foreknew [of whom He was aware and loved beforehand], He also destined from the beginning [foreordaining them] to be molded into the image of His Son [and share inwardly His likeness], that He might become the firstborn among many brethren. 30 And those whom He thus foreordained, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified (acquitted, made righteous, putting them into right standing with Himself). And those whom He justified, He also glorified [raising them to a heavenly dignity and condition or state of being]? - Romans 8:29-30 AMP.
The mystery that was revealed when Paul came is that Christ is in us and for 2000 years, Christ has been in people, but that mystery and glory is only the hope of the real glory that is to be revealed. It will be revealed when the sons of break through and be manifested on the earth; when Christ is ?formed? in us.
It is time for the sons of God to come forth! God has been waiting for more than 2000 years. Somebody needs to start preaching it, so that somebody can reach it and come back and speak it!
